Hello my fellow amazing human beings out there!!
How are you all doing? I hope you all are doing your best you can!
What day is it tomorrow? It's Mothers' Day! One of my favourite days of the year. I've been thinking about it for the past week. Ever since I lost my mother 2 years ago, I didn't know what to do on that day or what to look forward to, but this year I didn't want it to be like that. After thinking a lot about it, I've decided this year I'm gonna write a letter to her telling about what I wanna do if I get to have her for another day. So here it is guys.
First of all I would bring her a cup of tea to her bed early in the morning as soon as she wakes up. I would then prepare her all time favourite breakfast. It's called "milk rice", where you cook rice with coconut milk and salt.(My parents love it but me and me brother hate it, but because it's all about my mother I will make it and may be eat it too.) Then we'll sit on our couch with our dog by our side and spend some good few minutes just enjoying each others company and may be have a cup of tea or something like that. I will then take her to my favourite spa for some pampering, because you know that every mother needs a little bit of that every now and then.
After our little mommy-daughter date we'll go out for lunch as a family. We'll go to a local restaurant out here and have all of my mother's favourite food. She loved black pork curry, boiled cassava with scrapped coconut, green bean curry, fried sprats, jack fruit curry and etc. She's a foodie just like me. We'll even have dessert after that. She couldn't have desert while she was alive because she was diabetic. As she's healed now, why not? We'll have buffalo curd with some kithul treacle and sugar.
Now comes the favourite part of mine. We'll go to the nearest beach and some well needed family time. Just soaking in every moment possible. Admiring her beauty, her smile, strength and mostly her presence. Will tell her How much I love her, how much I miss her every single day. Will thank her for everything she did for me. I will tell everything that I wanted to tell her for the past couple of years. As we enjoy that beautiful sunset I would like all of us to have a small praise and worship session and a small prayer thanking our Heavenly Father for my little family and that precious day.
We'll then go to a nearby restaurant to enjoy a very tasty and warm seafood meal. Seafood and Indian food were two favourite meals that I enjoyed with my mother. If we are lucky enough we'll enjoy a second dessert for the day. After our little perfect day we'll come home, have baths, get into our pyjamas and then sit on the couch for the rest of the day enjoying some more family time before it's time for my mom to go back (remember she's only there for a day, even with a heavy heart I'll have to say goodbye to her).
This all might sound crazy to all of you, but this is my wish all day-everyday. As much as I want it to happen I know that won't happen until that special day when we all will get to meet our deceased loved ones.I can't wait for that day to meet my Heavenly Father and of course my mother. For now I'll cherish all those memories I had with her. Once a very good friend of mine told to write letters to my mother whenever I missed her or I wanted to talk to her. This Mothers' Day I wanna encourage all of you to write a small letter to your mother. She may still be alive or may be not, but either way write a letter to her telling everything you wanted to say.
I hope you all enjoyed reading this, as much as I enjoyed writing this. It felt good to go all those places with her in my mind.
Please don't forget to leave a comment how you spent this Mothers' Day celebrating your mom and what you did different this time from other years.
I LOVE YOU ALL!!!!

HAPPY MOTHERS' DAY TO EVERY MOTHER, GRANDMOTHER, SISTER, AUNT AND MOTHER FIGURES IN OUR LIVES!! YOU ALL ARE DOING A GREAT JOB AND YOU SHOULD BE CELEBRATED EVERYDAY!!!
